Welcome!
Congratulations! You have found the Habershons.com family website, started in December 2001. All Habershons and non-Habershons are welcome to wander around. Stick a pin in the Guest Map; leave a message in the Message Book; and if you're a Habershon, please let us know you were here so we can list you in our Branch Office. And if you are looking for stuff on Bikram Yoga or Mini Coopers, click on the pictures in the left-hand column.
We also encourage you to register. This takes less than a minute and will allow you to view and leave comments, chat in the chat box at left, and look at the photograph albums. And if you're logged in you'll never see this annoying message again.
Thank you for coming by!

DECEMBER 2002
HABERSHON OF THE MONTH |

|

|
Yup. It's time to
embarrass the heck out of yet another Habershon. This month's
coveted award goes to none other than Charlie,
the sportsman of the family. I think he picked up the habit (along
with the unfortunate one of becoming a Braves fan) when the Emsworth
Habershons were stationed in Norfolk, Virginia for two years. Will
he ever look as sweet again as he did in that hockey gear?
This, however, has nothing to do with his
prowess on the rugby or cricket pitches of Sherborne, it has to do with
other stuff. My interest was piqued when his good friend Ollie
Hargrave (he is a good friend, is he, Charlie?) wrote in the message
book:
I just think that Charlie deserves
Habershon of the month. He works very hard at school and has
recently finished his travel grant in which he has devoted many hours of
hard graft. Not only this but he has been a responsible and inspiring
dormitory captain of the 3rd form for three weeks now and i think he
deserves a reward.
As a follow-up to that message, I understand
that Charlie and his mates gave a winning presentation and have been
awarded a travel grant for an educational trip to Morocco next
year. (Educational? Hmmm... does that mean you leave your
surfboards at home?)
Hope you're taking Ollie with you, Charlie.
And on a serious note, I, and I'm sure many
people will not forget the wonderfully brave reading he gave at Dad's
(Grandpa's) Thanksgiving service earlier this month. |
