AUGUST 2006 HABERSHON OF THE MONTH!

Congratulations, Libby!

This month, Jim has nominated his mother, Libby, for this prestigious honour. As you know, Jim suffered a back injury in mid-July. Libby and David, at the time, were two days into their summer holiday on the Grand Union Canal in the Aylestone. Jim informs Habershons.com that he is . . . on the road to recovery. This has been possible with the help from Mum who . . . I would like to nominate for HOTM for her sterling work as carer, chef and nurse on call 24 hours a day.

We managed to catch up with Jim's brother, Ed, at the Sunday Times, who confirmed this information. Looking up from his desk, he nodded as he spoke: Sure thing, she definitely deserves it, she has been looking after Jim round the clock for over two weeks now, even sacrificing a hotly-anticipated canal boat holiday to be at his side. She has done everything from showering Jimmy in the garden to waking up in the middle of the night to help him sleep. She is, in short, the best mum you could ask for and certainly a deserved Habershon of the Month.

Finally, David, her husband of almost 29 years, caught at his London office, sealed the deal, adding that Libby has been nursing Jim since July 13th, . . . feeding him, administering pills, charging his mobile phone and IPOD, among other things. Jim has been sleeping downstairs, and it is only since he had an epidural that he has been able to sleep through the night.

So there you go, a much-deserved Habershon of the Month. Good work, Libby!
