Welcome!

Congratulations! You have found the Habershons.com family website, started in December 2001. All Habershons and non-Habershons are welcome to wander around. Stick a pin in the Guest Map; leave a message in the Message Book; and if you're a Habershon, please let us know you were here so we can list you in our Branch Office. And if you are looking for stuff on Bikram Yoga or Mini Coopers, click on the pictures in the left-hand column.

We also encourage you to register. This takes less than a minute and will allow you to view and leave comments, chat in the chat box at left, and look at the photograph albums. And if you're logged in you'll never see this annoying message again.

Thank you for coming by!

He fed the starving London Habs, and earned the nomination for the

JUNE 2005 HABERSHON OF THE MONTH!

Congratulations, David!

The nominator was Ed, who was enthusiastic in his praise for his Dad's organization and generosity . . .

Five courses, fine wine, some very interesting cheeses and even more interesting family chat made it an excellent evening . . . We need more Hab reunions like it!

The review was written by Nick:

A damp Wednesday morning on the 15th June heralded a succession of e-mails proclaiming the power of wine amid the anticipation of a hearty supper. Two hours into another working day and the call for a glass of something stronger had already been sounded. No doubt David, as the latest but certainly not the last Hab to find themselves working in London, had been so appalled by the long hours and selfless deference to the workplace, that he felt a brief interlude from this helter-skelter life-style would be good for us all.

It was thus that the newly annointed "London Habs" met at a little after half-past seven at L'Estaminet near Leicester Square. Or right here as the internet browsers among you may know it. David, Sarah, Ed and Nick were in attendance, with apologies for absence from Jim (whom everyone knows is really a London Hab but is clinging onto the title of Birmingham Hab for as long as he possibly can). Further future additions to the London Hab Brigade could well include Clare, William and Jamie. We may well need to start booking months in advance...

The reviews had been various but we found the food to be excellent, as were the three bottles of wine which accompanied it. Above all however it was an excellent opportunity for family members to catch up, as Sarah put it so well, at an event that was neither a wedding nor a funeral. Amid subjects ranging from the newest Hab (Joe Fry - a most photogenic bonny baby) to this very website, the pieces of this 'catch-up' jigsaw soon began to fall into place and, before we knew it, we were among the last in the restaurant. After one last story (which involves David and Stringfellows) we descended into the London Underground to be dispersed, annonymous once more, around the city.

Many thanks to David once again for organising and treating us all to a hugely enjoyable evening out. Hope to see you all again soon.

Nick advises that the photo would have been better if he'd known that his friend's camera flash wasn't on automatic. Anyway, you can probably recognize everyone, from left to right: Sarah, David, Ed, Nick.

I hope that at least one of you will add some positive comments to that London Eating site.

So there it is. Another Habershon of the Month. Well done, big brother!

Send in your nominations for the July Habershon of the Month!
