Dear brothers:

Thank you for the birthday cards. Paul, yours arrived on Friday. David and Ricky, yours on Monday. First time in many years from all three brothers. Very much appreciated. I had a wonderful birthday. Slept in and took a 10 a.m. Bikram class. When I got home, John had filled the house with daffodils (my favourite flowers — who’d’ve guessed!) and yellow tulips (my second favourite flowers). He also gave me a new chair for the deck (with cupholder) and . . . wait for it . . . a new phone! It replaces a ten-year-old Nokia model. Nothing fancy, but this one can send TEXT MESSAGES! Yes, I’m coming out of the dark ages. And the good thing is that my bill will remain at $10 a year.

I spent the rest of the day working on my fantasy Baseball drafts. Then in the evening we had dinner at The Melting Pot. Love that place!

Saturday birthdays are good.

P.S. Yes, I know you’ve all got Blackberries (berrys?) and can get on the internet on your phones. I’ve been tempted, but I’m never away from a computer for longer than ten minutes; i.e. while driving to work. If I was on the road a lot (or sitting in a train for two hours a day) I’d go for one!
